Worship Summer Residency - Healing Place Church

The Healing Place Worship Summer Residency is a transformative 6-week program designed for college-aged students (18-22)!

During this incredible journey, you’ll deepen your relationship with Jesus, grow in your musical and leadership abilities, and form meaningful connections with like-minded peers.

Whether you’re a singer, musician, or both, if you believe you have been called to lead worship, we encourage you to apply. Through hands-on training and opportunities to lead worship, you’ll develop your gifts serving in a variety of settings and ministries within the church. Our hope is to help you grow in your love for Jesus, refine your talents, and discern the unique calling God has placed on your life. This summer could be the start of something extraordinary.

When is the residency?

Residency dates for 2025 are June 8 – July 18.

How much does it cost?

The residency, trips, classes, lessons and investment from so many great leaders are all covered at no charge to the residents. You will need money to cover food, gas and any other spending money.

Where is the residency?

Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Host homes will be available for those who need them.

Who is the residency for?

The Healing Place Worship Residency is for college-aged students (high school graduates through age 22) who are gifted in worship leading—whether through singing or playing an instrument—and eager to grow in discipleship, musical skills, and leadership while serving the church.

What will be the weekly schedule?

The schedule will vary from week to week depending on our obligations as we will be leading worship for various events, such as VBS, camps, kids ministry, student ministry, and services at local campuses. A typical week will be Tuesday – Friday, and you will be assigned to serve at a local campus each Sunday. Throughout the week, will have scheduled times of worship and prayer or a devotional, book studies, music theory classes, voice lessons, leadership training, and more. You will also attend or lead at our Young Adults services on the 2nd & 4th Sunday nights of the months you’re attending the residency.
