About This Campus
The Kingdom of Swaziland, sometimes called Ngwane, is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, bordered to the north, south, and west by South Africa, and to the east by Mozambique. The nation, as well as its people, is named after the 19th century King Mswati II. Swaziland’s economic growth and societal integrity are highly endangered by its disastrous HIV epidemic, to an extent where the United Nations Development Program has written that if it continues unabated, the longer term existence of Swaziland as a country will be seriously threatened. The infection rate in the country is unprecedented and the highest in the world at 26.1% of adults and over 50% of adults in their 20's.
Healing Place Church Swaziland started in February of 2008 with a few people that had a passion to be a healing place in a country that is full of hurting people. HPC Swaziland is a young vibrant church that is working hard to serve Jesus and the community around us. We have already seen many lives transformed by the love of Jesus. HPC Swaziland is a unique campus in that worshippers are very expressive during praise and worship- it is not uncommon to observe people break out in dancing before the Lord (African style) as they are expressing their heartfelt worship!
