This year, our focus is on the Word of God – THE BOOK. Kids will learn the power of Scripture and how it helps them to face battles. Through a live, exciting production, kids will be introduced to the Gospel, Bible stories, and truths that will teach them ultimately about God’s love and how to apply the Bible in their lives.
After worship and a creative drama each day, your child will rotate in color groups. Different areas of the HPC Arena will be transformed in order for kids to engage in fun games, hands-on learning experiences, crafts, and other activities. We believe that God has great things in store for your child at VBS!
When you arrive in the morning, if you have your packet, you can choose to drop-off your child in the CARPOOL line (at ENTRY#7). Make sure that you display your “Carpool Pass” as your drive up, and make sure that your child has all the materials needed (see below: WHAT TO BRING). When entering, your child’s wristband will be scanned and your child will be checked in through our check-in system used during every HPC service or special event. Once your child checks in, they will receive a nametag to wear on their shirt that day. At checkout each day, your security pass (included in your packet) will be used to match your child’s name tag.
If you do not have your packet yet or you would like to walk your child in, you will need to park and walk up to the arena. There will be signs directing you where to go.
**You will also need to park and walk in with your child, if your child has any special needs or medical needs that we need to be aware of. (If the need was noted on the registration form, and you feel that it was clear, you can skip this step). A nurse’s station will be set up at Guest Services in the Connect Foyer in case you should need to further discuss a special need or medical condition. Each child with a special need or medical condition will be given an orange wristband when they check in, in addition to the check-in wristband he/she already has, so that our volunteers can be aware of the details.
If you do not have a Carpool Pass, Wristband, or T-shirt you will need to PARK and walk your child into VBS. The volunteers at the Registration Center can help you with a duplicate of any of these items, or if you have any questions.
When it is time to pick-up your child, refer to the map you received in your packet for parking. You will need to PARK and enter at ENTRY #5. Don’t forget to bring your security tag each day. If you lose your security pass, you will need to present an ID when picking up your child.
