Anchor House *

Description: A transitional living program for young adult males ages 16-21 that provides a safe place to live while developing life, education and employment skills. Volunteers are needed to invest in these young men’s lives by helping with activities, tutoring, mentoring, teaching life skills, and developing job skills.

Baton Rouge Dream Center Accelerate Program

Description: We provide a safe and positive place for at-risk youth, ages 13-18, that includes an after-school program, life-skills development, career awareness, community and school service projects, recreational activities, leadership development, mentoring, and tutoring. Energetic volunteers are needed to help empower these youth with activities, tutoring, and one- on-one mentoring.
When: Mondays - Thursdays from 3pm - 5pm

Cancer Ministry *

Description: We visit cancer patients in local hospitals and offer healthy snacks as we encourage them and their families. We also participate in many ministry opportunities during the holidays.

Cooking for Christ

Description: We provide meals for various local events, functions, and street outreaches. Our team volunteers their time to prepare and deliver food while touching many lives. This is a simple, tangible way to meet a need and show God’s love.

Dental Outreach

Description: We provide free dental extractions at local dental clinics. In addition to caring for the physical needs, we offer prayer and fellowship for our patients. We need volunteers who are both skilled and unskilled in the dental field.

Food Pantry Team **

Description: This is an opportunity to serve those in need of food assistance by giving them the gift of non-perishable groceries. We also offer to pray with everyone who visits the food pantry. We want to take special care of those who are in need and this is a simple way for us to reach out and make a difference.  
When: Second and Fourth Friday of Each Month from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Foster Care / Adoption Programs*

Description: This program supports DCFS by coordinating foster care events and adoption meetings, facilitating Louisiana Heart Gallery, and providing life skills training for youth and young adults ages 14-26 who are in foster care or have aged out of foster care. Volunteers are needed to serve at Heart Gallery events, teach life skills, and provide mentoring.

Homeless Outreach*

Description: We intentionally seek out within the tough parts of our community those who are hurting and need prayer and food.
When: Two Saturdays a Month

HPC Serve Administrative Volunteers

Description: Volunteers are needed to assist with administrative work for all of HPC’s Serve ministry including filing and organizing.
When: Mondays through Fridays from 8am - 5pm

Independent Living Program

Description: The Chafee Independent Living Program provides life skill training for youth and young adults, ages 14-26, who are in foster care or have aged out of foster care. You can play a vital role by helping teach life skills.

Louisiana Heart Gallery

Description: The Heart Gallery advocates for children in foster care who are waiting to be adopted. Through volunteering, professional videographers and photographers are needed to provide photos and videos of children available for adoption. Volunteers are also needed to serve at events where the Heart Gallery is displayed.

Meals Ministry

Description: The Meals ministry focuses on serving meals to people who have suffered the loss or illness of loved ones. Meals are prepared and delivered by our team and we get the opportunity to encourage people both inside and outside of the church.

Midnight Outreach *

Description: We go into the city to show the love of Christ by passing out roses and care packages.

New Beginnings *

Description: This ministry helps people recover from destructive behaviors, emotional damage, trauma recovery, divorce recovery, sexual or emotional abuse, and eating disorders. Join us to help bring healing through Christ’s love to those in need.

North Baton Rouge Campus **

Description: Join us as we show the love of Christ through food distribution and community support outreaches.

Nursing Home Outreach **

Description: We have been blessed with a great opportunity to reach out to a nursing home that gets very few visitors. Through this, we have been able to build amazing relationships with many of the residents and even the home staff. Come be a part!
When: First Saturday of Each Month at 10:30am
Where: Affinity Nursing Home

Prison Ministry *

Description: We are involved in several prisons in the Baton Rouge area. Our goal is to personify Christ’s words, “I was in prison and you visited me.” We minister through church services and also on a one-on-one basis with the inmates. Anyone interested must go through Department of Corrections Training and be cleared by a background check.
When: A coordinating meeting is held on the first Sunday of each month at the Mission Cafe.

Street Outreach Breakfast

Description: We serve food, pray with people, clean up, and simply share friendly moments with those in need.
When: Wednesday Mornings at 7:00am

Street Outreach *

Description: This addresses the needs of runaway and homeless youth ages 10-21 by conducting street outreaches to identify at-risk youth and operating a drop-in center where youth can receive supportive services including life skills training, career development, and educational support. Volunteers are always needed to participate in outreaches including packing food/ hygiene bags, teaching life skills classes, and to come along side the youth as one-on-one mentors.

Trafficking Victim Support *

Description: These programs are available for children and youth who are at risk of trafficking or children, youth, and adults who are victims of sex and/or labor trafficking. Volunteers are needed as mentors for these youth and administrative support for these programs.

Widow's Lawn Care

Description: We commit to serving a widow by simply cutting her grass.
